Because we are in the catering industry, we know a thing or two about weddings. So, people often ask us which months are busiest. In Florida you can get married in winter and still have beautiful weather. But the days are shorter and there is a chance of a cold day here and there. For that reason, the months that are most popular to get married in Florida mirror the months of other states.
Here is a list of the top five and a brief description of why they are popular:
5. August – Ten percent of marriages occur in August. The weather is hot, but the days are long. Getting married at the end of summer is popular for many couples.
4. May – The first real solidly warm month of the year for states up north, spring has many positives for couples looking to get hitched. Eleven percent of weddings occur in May. There are May showers to contend with so the month isn’t the perfect month for this activity.
3. June – Twelve percent of marriages take place in June. People have more free time/vacation time, the days are long and the weather is warm. An early morning June wedding can be fun and comfortable for everyone involved.
2 – September -Fifteen percent of marriages take place in September. It is the month wear it start to cool down just a little. Hurricane season is the only thing to worry about as far as weather is concerned.
1 – October – Beautiful weather makes October the perfect month to be married. Sixteen percent of couples who get hitched choose October. The hurricane season is usually mostly over and there are no spring showers to worry about. The days are still long enough to get a full day of planning in.
